INVITATION

Dear Partners and Exhibitors,

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee of the Italian Branch of WPSA, it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 23rd European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition that will be held at the Palacongressidi Rimini (Italy) from June 21 to 24 2023 where over 1000 delegates coming from all over the world are attended.

The reasons why to be a sponsor is getting new information in science and nutrition practice having direct impact from lectures and discussions with leading poultry scientist in very new area of poultry nutrition and poultry nutrition industry. You can discuss your business products with a lot of expected specialists.

Italy is one of the EU largest producer of poultry meat and eggs; the most recent Census of Agriculture reported 18,500 poultry farms 38,500 operators in Italy. In 2018, the Italian poultry industry produced 972 thousand tons of chicken meat (6° in the EU), 300 thousand tons of turkey meat (6° in the EU) and 12.6 billion eggs (4° in the EU).
The combined value of production from broilers, eggs, turkeys, and the value of sales from chickens is more than 4 billion euros and the processing industry involves about 25,500 professionals with companies producing an annual turnover of 5.6 billion euros.

Moreover, the poultry meat sector is totally self-sufficient in the panorama of Italian production of food of animal origin considering that National production, covers 103.6% of consumed chicken meat, 121.3% of turkey meat and 96.7% of national egg requirements.
Poultry production is characterized by an elevated degree of integration of the supply chain and concentration between few large and medium size operators which have generated benefits for the entire national poultry sector.

The industry is undergoing a gradual structural change as production shifts to larger broiler and layers enterprises that provide larger shares of an operator’s household income. Thanks also to their high economic dimension, Italian poultry operators are characterized by a strong propensity to invest in research and development activities and are able to spread - by virtue of the strong integration of the supply chain - innovation and know-how between all the rings of the supply chain, from animal feed to farms to the slaughtering and meat processing phases.

We very much look forward to welcoming you in Rimini in June 2023 to share and discuss about technologies, information about what happened during the last 3 years and innovations. Many thanks to all of those who will contribute and join us for making the congress possible.

Your contribution will be very important in achieving the success of the Congress.
